MY THANKS TO NETTY VERBURG FOR THIS INFORMATION ON THE SONG!

This was the musical theme for the Global Forum
on Human Survival that was held at Oxford, England, April 1988,
and for the PBS Special that featured the conference,
as well as for the documentary film which was aired around the world.
The music has since been turned Into a song, "The One World",
in collaboration with Sammy Cahn as lyricist.
This is a really great song, especially with John singing it.

In addition to the above conference,
"The One World" was sung by John in June of 1992
during the Rio de Janeiro UN Konferentz (U.N. Conference) at "The Earth Summit."
John was there together with Jacques Cousteau, David Brouwer, Melissa Poe,
Lester Brown and others. He acted as the "Master of Ceremonies" as well.
The music was written by Byron Janis, a concert pianist,
along with Sammy Cahn as the lyricist. But if you listen carefully,
it sounds just like one that John Denver 'should have written'!

Orginal Source Material from Linda Wolverton.
