so much time on the road,

and then coming home and knowing where you are

and knowing that place as HOME.

I remember coming home one day and

sitting up in my loft, watching that storm come

across the valley, hearing Annie working

down in the kitchen

and feeling so good, so safe

and warm and at peace.

I thought about what it must be like

for anyone who comes back

to the place that is home to them,

no matter how long they've been gone,

and, as always,to say it in as

personel and universal way as possible

and capture the feeling of that return and that peace.

I couldn't have stopped the song from coming if I'd tried.
