Christmas is coming.
There's love in the air.
I miss you so much.
And I wish you were here,
Sitting snug by the fire,
As the winds howl outside,
While snow garbs the pine boughs,
Like lace on a bride.
I see you so clearly,
Your old guitar in hand,
As the still silent night
Cloaks a magical land.
Your laughter rings out.
As it did long ago,
And I still ask myself,
"Why did you have to go?"
Then a new scene appears
In the Heavenly skies.
And you start to sing
"Christmas Like A Lullaby"
The Children of Bethlehem
Look up to your star.
Where the angels are singing,
Is right where you are.
Happy Christmas,John Denver.
You are so in our hearts.
There is never a Christmas,
Of which you're not a part.

STAR BRIGHT
I went to view the stars last night.
The air was crisp and cold.
A harvest moon was waning.
The year was growing old.
One star stood out from all the rest.
It seemed to dance with joy.
And I knew that he was out there,
Our golden "Country Boy".
He sent a beam of radiance
Straight down to Mother Earth.
"At last, "I thought, "he's found his PEACE,
A glorious rebirth."
I went to view the stars to-night.
That one was gone from view.
And I hoped, with all my heart,
He'd gone, to shine on you.
WISH ON A STAR
Far, far away
the radiance of a single star
permeates the inky black of night.
Might I have a wish to make?
I take my thoughts
and wing them high aloft,
across a span of light years.
There, a thousand stars,
auguring rebirth
emblazon
PEACE ON EARTH
In Memory Of John Denver
PEACE
When there can be forgiveness,
When there can be "One World",
The future holds more promise
For every boy and girl.
When we can see the sacred,
Instead of the profane,
That is a reason for living,
For there is so much to gain.
When we can form a circle,
That includes everyone,
We step out of the darkness,
And stand forth in the sun.
When there can be kindness.
When people can be free,
That is the world I long for,
That's where I want to be.
When there are no more weapons,
And war has come to cease,
We can find hope for tomorrow,
And there is a chance for Peace.
