I really love your music and your talent. I am going to follow in your
footsteps. I know your spirit is in your music and in the wind, the water,
and the woods of Colorado. You were a wonderful person who cared about
the environment, wildlife and hungry fly with the eagles, horses, and
hawks John!

When I think of John. As a singer I was reminded of the gift of song...How
important to share that gift. John did. As a global Citizen I dream of
one world
one people. one planet. As John Lennon wrote 'o brotherhood
of man' ,. John believed it . So do I.
I dream of world peace. i
am determined to make it
happen. Together we can make a difference

I am going to miss John forever. His music became a part of my life when
I was in high school when I inherited my brother's Greatest Hits album.
I would sit for hours listening to John sing and couldn't wait until he
came out with a new album. I had 3 of his songs sung at my wedding. My
husband and I danced our 1st dance to John.

Darling John, I promise you that this will be McKenna's year. Please assist
us in finding a new mwmber for our LSA. And please help the leaders of
this country to find the right road before it is too lat. I will light
the candles if you will use them to help show humanity the right way to
go. My love for you grows each day. Please come to me and show me the
way to rewrite the "after-time."

I grew up on John's music. What a wonderful influence his words and music
were to a teenager looking to find a place in this world. "What one man
can do!" Thank you John.

John,
we thank you for the words to the beautiful song
playing hear in the
backround....."The Gift You Are"
Imagine a month of Sundays
Each
one a cloudy day
Imagine the moment the sun came shining through
Imagine
that ray of sunshine as you
We also thank Linda Ettel for this
glorious and thoughtful page and LorrieAnne Russell for he lovely MIDI.
Remember
your darkest hour
With dawn still far away
Remember the way that
you longed for morning’s light
And think of yourself as a candle in
the night
Make believe this is the first day
Everything all
brand new
Make believe that the sun is your own lucky star
And
then understand the kind of gift you are

Dear
John ... Oh, Dear John. How I wish I could tell you what you mean to
me! It seems as if you had to go away for all your dreams to come true.
The work toward your goals have been multiplied ten fold since you left
us. I know I have been more attentive since you've gone ... shame on
me. I should have been doing this all along. Thank you for teaching
me to FINALLY play the guitar, I know your close by when I sing your songs
.. and I appreciate your guidance.
On behalf of ALL the North
Carolina Friends of John Denver ..... Peace My Friend.
