I am and always will be a fan of John Denver. It would have been plesure to have met the man. He had his share of problems as I have my own. I do the the singer/songwriter alot. I listen to his music every week. I want to live in the the state of Colorado very much. I even think about his 3 children, and wander how they are doing. In closing. god bless everyone who is a John Denver

The pain of losing you goes on and on but I am so thankful for the music and ideals you left behind for us to follow. I hope you know somehow just how much you were loved and are missed.

My dearest John, you would think after all this time that has passed I could have gotten passed all this pain of losing you, but I havent been able to. How can I say goodbye to my best friend? How can I say goodbye to the person who gave me hope and strength to go on in a world I didnt think I could make it in? I try everything I can to feel close to you. I watch the videos, I listen to your music, and although it helps, I still know in my heart you are no longer here. Ive never had someone in my life who meant as much to me as you did, other than my own children. I'm trying to find a way to get to the Aspen celebrations this year. My hope is to meet others that loved you. My hope is to be able to grieve with those who understand. My hope is to be able to come to terms with you being gone. Not to ever forget you, but to be able to move on, and learn to celebrate the time you were here, instead of feeling this deep loss on a daily basis, its eating away at my soul. Did you ever know John, just how much you truly meant to so many people? Had it not been for you, I would have taken that handful of pills when I was 15, lost and alone, but you gave me hope. I wish you were here now. I miss you my friend. I light one candle each for the love, hope, faith and understanding, that I got from you.Rest well John!

we loved his music and it took our minds off everyday life and sent our thoughts soaring to distant places of beauty. He had an outstandingly beautiful voice. We lived in Golden,Colorado and we use to go to the mountains and just pitch a tent by a stream. He was a very good guy and we still miss him very much.

"The vision of your goodness will sustain me through the cold. Take my hand now to remember when you find yourself alone... you're *never* alone. And the spirit fills the darkness of the heavens. It fills the endless yearning of the soul. It lives within a star too far to dream of. It lives within each part and is the whole. It's the fire and the wings that fly us home."

I sit here with tears rolling down my face as I read the words and feelings of others. How I miss him. I guess I was feeling like I was the only one. It's nice to feel I'm not alone. I needed to listen and remind myself of those lyrics that touched my soul so very many years ago. So much is said in those few lines.

He's still with us. He's a part of us.

I'm lighting a blue candle... blue for the sky he so loved to fly in.

Peace and Love to You all,
Maija
