My wish is that John's spirit is soaring & flying free, & that this free spirit knows joy, just the way his music, environmental & Humanitarian works improved the lot of thousands of folk - especially the music which lifted many a heavy heart. Fly free John. Gloria (Australia).

Dear John,

Today,"I feel like a sad song"
Let us all light candles here, and wherever we may be,for those killed, and injured in the London terrorist attacks, and for those who mourn. I'm lighting my candle now..Please join me, and make it a ONE WORLD vigil.
In peace and love,
Cynthia.

Dear John,
Lighting candles for all the victims and their families of the horrible terror attacks in London.

"Yes, there still is time to turn around
and make all hatred cease
Let's give another name to living
and we can call it PEACE"

This is the translation of the entry by Luc Degevy,a Belgian friend:

"I wish you all a refreshing holiday, full of joy and sunshine, heavenly music and beautiful sceneries of nature. Let John's Spirit talk to you in your hearts and share his message with the whole world."

Luc.

Just to know that you're never really far away is Heaven on Earth. Just now you're there to help me spreading my own wings and fly. You sang: "In this healing time, walk with me again." I do, John, every day, in the presence of your love. I love you.

Ten years have gone so quickly, John. It seems like only yesterday I awoke to hear the heartcrushing news that you had left us. You are still very much in my Heart, John ... your music always playing in the back of my mind ... your smile, your spirit, your ideals a part of me forever...

I stated playing guitar when I was 13 years old. And Ilurned to love this kind of music and songs, sitting by a campfire with friends and sing mostly songs, from you John. It was a great help for me along my way of making music. Now I'm nearly 40 years old and I still play music and I still love to play and sing your songs. I've seen 4 concerts and I had a great and deep respect for your music and way of thinking. I miss you!! With love, Geert

Life is so hectic, John ... it's been awhile since I've been here to light a candle for you ... but I think of you so very often ... You must be tickled at the Birthday posts for Jesse Belle .. 16 John, can you believe it?! Gosh, I wish you could have been here to celebrate with her ... see how she's grown into to such a lovely young lady ... I wish you could have stood proudly at your's and Annie's kids weddings and sang a love song you'd written for each child ... I know you are watching over them, but I wish you could be with them in more then spirit ... such joyous things for you to have missed...

If I might be so bold John ... I ask you one favor ... my Daisy Mae is quite new to your world ... check and see if she is alright ... she'll know your voice, as she heard you singing everyday ... Thanks, John.

My Thanks to Good Friend, Cynthia, for This Poem For My Daisy Mae ... It's so very hard to lose a friend, whether it be two legged or 4....

For Daisy Mae

Do all dogs go to Heaven?
Yes,of course they do.
And Heaven is much richer now,
For Daisy Mae's there too.

She's listening to an old guitar
Play all the songs she loves.
She sees the mighty eagle,
Fly with the peaceful dove.

And,every night,a brand new star
Shines brightly just for you.
Do all dogs go to Heaven?
Now you know they do.

For Linda,
Sharing your sorrow.
Peace and Love,
Cyn.

I loved john and I just wished significant people in his life knew how I felt sad that he's gone mainly because I never got the chance to see him in concert or even meet him personally.
Nevertheless I loved john and am so greatful to john because it was his music that keep me out of trouble when I was in high school.
there were days when I'd come home in tears because I was so constantly teased. I remember one of those days when I came home in tears, I went to my room, thru myselfon the bed and just cried. After a while I got up sat onthte floor and whiped out one john's albums still in tears almost throwing it down on the turntable and turning it on I went back to lay on the bed still cring and I know his songs were playing but at that point I don't really remember hearing any of them until SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDERS started And all of the sudden I stoped cring because I began to feel warm all over it was like liquid golden sunshine pouring over me. I'll never forget that day some times when I' in a difficult moment I'll think of that day and I'm able to move on I beleive God gave me John to help me find Him. (GOD).

One of John's great loves....The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is in great danger right now....from Oil Drilling. Please contact your Representatives to fight Oil Drilling in this beautiful Alaskan Park. Remember, in John's words.....You don't have to do everything, but all of us can do something! Peace to John....and may all of us who are still here, continue to fight for Mother Earth and all her creatures!
