HEY JOHN! Happy Earth Birthday, may all your days in heaven be like a
birthday here on earth. Thanks for everything, and hey, if you aren't
too busy later, could ya help me with the arrangement for my new song
"Who You Are"?...not sure about the keyboard parts. Thanks! Also, if
you could help get those t-shirts to the disabled folks in Montrose that
would be wonderful! Say hi to my mom and dad would ya? Don't forget
to make a wish before you blow out all these candles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Peace
out!

If I were a poet, John, I'd have written something like this... but I'll
leave it to Our Good Canadian Friend, Cyn, to come up with the perfect
words ...
DEAR JOHN,
The seasons come,and gently flow
Unto
the shores of time.
But we,your friends,will not forget
Your melodies
and rhymes.
Our memories send images
Cascading down the
years.
We laugh with you.We sing along.
We share your joys and
tears.
A child was born on New Year's Eve,
A new beginning
in the end.
You grew to be someone we love,
And we are proud to
call you friend.
You taught us to preserve the Earth,
That
peace should always be the way.
That "One World" is attainable.
We
foster these ideals today.
We sense your presence everywhere,
Cathedral
mountains,tow'ring high,
In timeless tides that ebb and flow,
And
bright stars in the midnight sky.
We know you did not wish to
leave,
When there was so much yet undone.
You looked toward a
better day,
When all mankind would stand as one.
This night,we'll
light our candles bright,
In sweet rememberance of you.
God grant
that peace will light your way,
And have a blessed birthday,too.
In loving memory of John Denver

On December 31st, my first thought always turns to you John, your birthday...not
New Years Eve celebrations.I thank you for all you stood for, for all
you believed in.For being the inspiration that kept me going during my
teenage years that were really sad and lonely. For the words and music
that kept me dreaming and believing. I love you and I miss you.

Thinking
of John on this special day.Always in our thoughts, we miss you.
Tears
of Joy and Happiness
As I journey to Aspen, I wondered
in my mind
Whether John would be there to greet me?
Or whether
he would be just a moment in time
He would not be there I thought,
no where in sight
Lost forever in time, in the wonders of flight
But
as I sat in the sanctuary
A place where he would have loved
I
looked up and saw an eagle, in the sky above
I knew then that he was
here with me
In the trees, the mountains and the lakes
A friend
once more, to share the joy
Of a man who gave so much
As
I sit here writing this poem
A message to the world
I came here
with tears of joy and happiness
For a man who gave me peace, hope
and tenderness
For a man who saved many souls
To live a life of
freedom, to live a life of purpose
To have so many goals
Many
tears have been shed
Many new friends have been made
But without
this man, without his life
I would have not been saved
As
I go back to England
A place so far away
I reflect of this week
A
great joy in my mind
To go home and feel at peace
With John, right
by my side.
